Case Small Texas Jack or Victorinox Pioneer

The Texas Jack for me,I just never warmed up to SAKs.

I have a SAK Cadet which is very similar to the Pioneer. I don't have a Texas Jack but it will probably be my next knife. I just lost out on an Amber Bone Texas Jack on eBay by fifty cents. Maybe next time. I vote for the Jack.

No real recommendation from me save to say that while I want a Peanut, the Texas \jack has been catching my eye lately.

Have both, love both. But I gotta say: the SAK Pioneer is probably one of my top favourites of all time...

Well, since the title said "Photos" and there are no photos in this thread, I thought I'd add some. The Vic in the pics is not actually a Pioneer, it's an Electrician, but they are the same other than the Electrician having a sheepfoot blade instead of the can opener.

How about the Case 244 Jr. scout? I have been coveting it, but it is a bit costly.

If you do not have anything to add but that then why waste your time posting? Sure these knives are completely different but they serve the same purpose and would be a tough choice if you could only own one. I personally dont like pen blades and can get by with a solo, just getting an Alox farmer for Fathers day and being very pleased with it I really have no problem suggesting the pioneer
That was my answer, they are completely different knives. One has bone scales one is all metal. One has "tool" blades the other only cutting blades. One has a bottle opener. One has only spear/pen blades while the other has a clip main blade. It is like comparing, well; apples and oranges. I would own both eventually.

My Texas Jack has kind of been displaced by my Tidioute 66 Serpentine Jack, but I still rate it as a very fine knife.

Another vote for the Jack :)

The Victorinox, hands-down.

If you really want a jack, have you seen the Evergreen two-blade stockman (jack) from Boker? 440C steel, excellent workmanship, and about the same price as Case.

What's better apples or oranges?
Is that a rhetorical question? Everyone knows apples are better.
