Case Sodbuster

i bought one of the Sodbuster CV and I am extremely impressed with it and I am normally a stainless and tactical folder type of person

Proper workingknife that goes nicely in the pocket.
Feels good to hold, simple and effective.

Both stainless and cv are good, both sharpen well and hold it,value for money here.
queen in D2 is also very good but obviously more tricky to sharpen.Check both the large and small versions and the new CASE American Workman series in blue.
essential knives for any serious knife fanatic!

Obligatory weekly posting of Sodbuster pics:

Mine do not get carried that often, because a Victorinox Explorer Plus takes up about the same room in my pocket and does 19 additional things, but for pure aesthetics and simplicity, its hard to be a Sodbuster.

I really hate that you have a red Country Cousin and I don't!

Everything that you've read in in this thread is true. I've got about a dozen slippies, but reach for the soddy on many days even with knives 5 times the price to choose from.

They're not one of the most respected slip joints for nothin'.;)

I'm particullarly fond of the yeller handled Case models, but, as you'll soon find out, the Sodbuster pattern in general is an honest, no frills, hard workin' knife.

so i am curious.. how do you rehandle these knives? do you have to take those brass brads off and then sand down something to fit and put some new ones on, or does the plastic just slip off?.. do they make custom handles... i love what you have done to this case... and i have total knife envy right now...
i would love some advice, tips, pointer, instructions. lemme know :)

thanks for your time

Anybody happen to know the model number or specific keywords I would use to find the Sodbuster with the convex edge? I love convex knives, and none of the ones I can find are remotely affordable for me (except the Blackjack Grunt and it's smaller cousin).

as far as i know, all the cases are hollow grind. note, i've not owned the larger sizes. i have found the stainless (420hc) will take a very sharp edge and because it's ground so thin behind the edge, will "cut" for a good amount of time. better than i ever thought it would be.
