Case Stockman

not a case, but i have a large stockman at a little over 4" by buck that i reground the blades into full convex on, a very useful pattern.

i would like to check out a case stockman...maybe i will check them out at a huge hardware store that i will be up near in a couple of weeks.

(edits mine) I think that would be the Buck 307.

Schrade made a nice 4" stockman. It came in round or squared bolsters. In the stockman there was the 861 and 881. In the Old Timers they were the 61OT and 8OT. I fancy the rounded bolsters and slim blades.

The 8OT is still fairly reasonable to purchase if you can find one. The slim varieties can get a little pricey. I'd like to find some of the bone handled versions of the ones shown here in jigged delrin. On regular production knives, the switched from bone to delrin in the mid-late 50's.
