Case Stockmen

Okay, crazy question.

I really like these G10 scales - almost enough to put up with the softer steel and the weak springs. How difficult would it be to transplant the scales to a CV model? Looks tough since the rivets are installed from the _inside_ of the liner...
 
How are you guys counting springs? A three spring knife? Never seen one, unless you are referring to a split-spring, which would still be two in my book.

My 52 Congress has two springs. My 6333 has two springs. Thats a bummer that they use two in the canoe, seems to partially defeat the purpose of the pattern.
 
Your 52 congress must be older than the mid 90's......unless Case has gone back to the 2 spring design. Go to Lowes and look at a 6347 and you will see a 3 spring stockman....again unless Case has recently changed back to the old design.
