Case Tiny Trapper stag handles single wharncliffe

I like the looks of that trapper, I'm a sucker for tiny knives and the Case Tiny Trapper with wharncliffe secondary is one of my favorites. I have the gray bone single blade mini-trapper that Ed mentions above, but even that is bigger than I usually carry to work.
The tiny trappers do work hard at office chores, opening boxes and such, and the wharncliffe is a pleasure when trimming printouts.

Work like that above is why I like my mini copperhead so much.

I'm carrying my MCH today and now I think I'll go get my tiny trapper and carry it too. Who knows, I might just fall in love with it.

well I've been carrying the new case tiny w for about a week now and I love it. The fit and finish is amazing, very difficult on a knife this small. I have only used it for light stuff opening letters, boxes, cutting tape and string, cleaning my nails and such but it has excelled at every task so far. It is worth mentioning that everyone who has seen it loves it even non knife people. Definitely a knife you can pull out anywhere without worries.

Well if you made it this far you are probably interested in tiny knives or case in general. And if you read all the posts you already know I have two tiny two blade trappers. I have decided in the spirit of the traditional folder forum to have a give away my self. Up for grabs is this two bladed Tiny Trapper.

It's the one I used to carry before I got the single wharncliffe one I'll be carrying from now on. I'd hate to put it away and would rather someone carry and use it. It's too late to get it to the winner before Christmas so I will have my 7 yr old daughter pull the winning posters number from a hat on Christmas Day. It's a great little knife, good luck!

Wow Paul, I was just thinking what a great looking knife that was, well they both are. Very generous of you to offer to part with that lovely little two-blade. Please count me in

Paul,

Owning a 2-bladed tiny trapper, I can only imagine how pleasing this tiny little thing is to hold and use. The stag looks great, and I'm guessing it gives you a little more to hold onto with this single-blade knife (stag scales typically being a bit wider than bone covers), in a good way.

Good catch, and thanks for the pictures!

Thanks, too, for the giveaway. My mediterranean blue Tiny Trapper is perfect to me, the epitome of pocket jewelry (though most other jewelry does not prove as useful), with two blades to fiddle with. Heh. Because of that, and the overwhelming generosity I've already been shown here, I'll pass on your little giveaway. Best of luck to the winner!

I'll sign up for this give away. I don't have anything with those 6.5 stag bone covers and that little guy is very sweet looking. Thanks so much for the give away.

Merry Christmas to you and the rest of your family.

thanks P i think so too it's pretty close to the same width I whipped out the handy micrometer and checked the single is only 2.1 mm thiner than the two blade. I believe that if it had any other scales it would be thinner For some reason it does feel better to the hand. I think the texture. The bone stag is smoother maybe smoother is not the right word less slick maybe. I used both knives today and they both are better at different tasks the wharncliffe seemed better opening mail while the secondary blade seemed better slicing cheese from an 8 oz block of Cabott chedder. Someone's going to win a great little knife.

Hi Paul,

Please count me in on this awesome little knife giveaway and many thanks for your generosity.

Count me in ~~ maybe I will just have to go back to collecting Case Knives again.** { they just have so many now-a-days to choose from ~~ and I really like there Swayback Jacks.!* }
Thanks for the chance.*

Not an entry. Just an appreciation. THANKS!

I said when I originally posted this that tiny knives were not really my thing, I've changed my mind. While not the only knife I will be carrying it makes a great second knife especially in public places. In the office, mall, bank, post office, all places I would hesitate to pull out a larger knife, I've used this tiny trapper with only good responses. The ladies at both the bank and the post office asked where they could get one! Quite a difference from " Hey you can't have that in here! "

Hi Paul, very generous of you, count me in. I don't have any case knives, I like to handle knives before I buy them and they're hard to find in Scotland. I live on a small island and trips to the mainland are rare enough. I have relatives in Sheffield though, so when I visit I go a hunting. I have yet to find case knives in a shop display in the UK, ah well...

Now im getting obsessed with that tiny wharncliffe, and its making me angry that i cant find one!!! gurrr

Sorry. I know how you feel been there before. Good luck I scoured the Internet and couldn't find another one. I asked some people on here who are pretty up to date on case as far as I can tell they only made one run in 2007. The ones that didn't sell probably went into the case vault. I never really understood the whole vault thing but I guess if enough people ask they bring them back out?

No Case knives? Bummer. They are the most common working mans knives here in Kentucky. They make all different grades sizes and styles, from Stag handled Damascus collector pieces to delrin handled stainless bladed hard working lockbacks. I have quite a few of both. What kind of knives do you get over there? If you do not win this one maybe we can work out a trade. Good luck in the draw maybe this will be your first!
