Case Tiny Trapper...

I carry a Case Tiny Trapper at work because we are limited to a 2" blade length and an overall opened length of 4 1/2". The Tiny Trapper meets these limits. I find it too small to be really useful outside of work. At work it mostly opens goodie bags and peels apples.

I like small knives for office use, such as small stocman, baby butterbean, etc. For this purpose, I consider the peanut a pretty "big" knife. With this as perspective, the tiny trapper is a bit too small for me. I like 'em, but just not a good fit for me. YMMV. Good luck!

I had been in the market recently for a traditional slippie with a wharncliff or sheepsfoot blade to carry as a secondary, more people friendly knife option. I had decided that the Wharncliff Trapper was the pattern that I truly wanted, but now for the size... My brother had picked up a Peanut a couple months ago so I had an opportunity to fondle that. While I did enjoy the Peanut, I see it as being the absolute smallest acceptable size for myself. Since I don't really think I could find the 2 3/8" Tiny all that comfortable, I ended up choosing a Mini Wharncliff Trapper in Test Red Jigged Bone (thanks to BFC :)). Now if the mailman would just hurry up; how long does it take to get from Oklahoma City to Boston? :p

Yes. Where can I get one? The only other single blade tiny trapper w/ warncliffe blade that I'm aware of has mother of pearl handles. I think the pearl is Ok, but prefer stag.
I'm a stag kind of guy, myself. I ran across this one whilst surfing the 'bay.

That's a decent Pen-Knife in the middle there Todd:thumbup:

CASE Brown Delrin Working knife? Got the Slimline Trapper in that&it's good.

Tiny Trapper would be too scaled down for me I'm afraid, the Mini Trapper(should be called Demi-Trapper in my view) is a very nice pocket knife, especially when offering a Wharncliffe.

I just picked up one of these in a very large knife store (near the Smokies) and Its an amazing little knife. Its the Ocean Blue Collectors Club version and it just jumped out at me in the case. I gave it a couple of licks on my sharpmaker and the little sucker is hair popping sharp with bloth blades out of the box. Its small but I like the small patterns for work carry. Neat little piece. Ill put a picture up tomorrow.

I found a wharncliffe tiny trapper at a resale shop. It's a sort of lavender color. It certainly is tiny (hence the name) I like to use it at school for sharpening pencils and other light cutting jobs. It cuts well and doesn't scare anybody.

Really, it isnt any smaller blade than a Vic classic, but it's lighter without my keys hanging off it!

I know some versions of the Trapper have half-stops and most of the mini's I have do. Do the Tiny Trappers have Half-Stops?

My 2009 example does not, and I'll gander that's typical of the pattern.

(Repeated) word to the wise: Tiny Trappers are tiny.

Tiny? That's Lilliputian when placed next to the 'Mini' Wharncliffe Trapper!!:D These knives seem to be like CASE's Butterbean, borderline toy...;)
