Just Got one from a trade and I have to say I'm impressed. I never was fond of Case's other fixed blades. Well, not their stag fixed blades. Does anyone else have a Case USMC? I'm curious to hear about your experience. It is made the same way as the Kabar, Camillus and Ontario USMCs. How would you rate these knives when comparing them to each other? Include any other USMC knives if you know of any that are made the same way as the Kabar. Lets do a field test of these knives based on recent or past experience. So far we have:

1. Standard Kabar
2. Camillus USMC
3. Ontario USMC
4. Case USMC

My experience with both the Kabar and Ontario USMC were just about the same. I was able to get a real good edge on both of them. Both good choppers. But, I do have this against the Ontario USMC. A local surplus store here just ordered a ton of Ontario USMC and Pilot Survival knives and the fit and finish was poor. Not to mention they were dull as a butter knife. One of the edges felt like a file. The Ontario, which I gave to a friend years ago I bought in the 90's was excellent and I regret giving to him. A great knife. I haven't had a chance to take this Case out yet. Feel free to post pics of mods or other. I think this would make a good thread for some classic American knives.

I used to have one of those Case USMC knives. It took a great edge. I really liked it. I ended up giving it to my dad. I wish I still had it. I guess I will have to get another one or two,,,, maybe three.:D

It looks like I could actually swing a Case cheaper than a Kabar branded knife.

Has Case ever actually done USMC contract knives?
