Case vs. Boker...??

Found this thread.

Is the Boker 2.0 Trapper, w/D2 better than a Case? Last time I looked at Case knives, the edges were VERY ROUGH and not 'Keen and Sharp' like I would expect.

What color scales do you guys like on these slipjoints? I was looking at the Red, Green, Blue and perhaps white Bone.

Thanks.

The Boker TS 2 line are ground very keenly. They are in general pretty nice knives. that being said, they are a product of Germany in collaboration with China. A lot of the work is done in China, with the final finish work being done in Germany. I don't mention that to disparage the knives, but just to let you know if you never saw the story behind them. The full German lines will make mention of Solingen, usually on the shield.

I like yellows when offered. The white bone is super popular in that line with most.

Case, is well, Case. When they're nice, they are very nice. When they're bad, they are pretty bad. The rough edge is a Case thing, I'd venture that 2/3rds of the ones I've bought or handled had the famous Case burr.

Appreciate the insight 'T'

MS - I thought it might be better to pick back up - than start a new thread, duplicate topic.

Thanks folks.
