Case why?

silenthunterstudios has the right idea IMHO. No disrespect, but a lot of Case consumers purchase their knife, not to use, but to add to their "collection" of NIB specimens they have stashed away. That sort of thing isn't for me, but such individuals, could probably care less about blade steel. I'd love to see more Chrome Vanadium, I just love the patinas, and while I like CV I am no hater of Stainless, Tru-Sharp, just doesn't appeal to me at the moment. I'd just assume get a Buck, which I feel produces better stainless (their 420HC compared to Tru-Sharp).

Yeah...if Case used a more exotic stainless steel I would be a bit more accepting.

I don't agree with that last sentence. They care. Many, maybe most of those individuals prefer SS because they can leave them in their boxes and not have to take them out for regular oiling and maintenance thereby avoiding spotting and rust.

It's good to post about what you want and why you want it.

It is NOT good to assume you know what others want and why they want it. It leads to insults, bad feelings, and nasty arguments.

Stick to the good. Stay away from the bad. Your forum experience will be chicklet free.

Here's my peeve: I want a CASE cv Pen-Knife in something OTHER than just yellow delrin, yes I like it a lot but I yearn for some bone on that frame too as it's such a convenient carry.

Thanks, Will

Do they offer that pattern in amber bone, or chestnut bone, in CV? Chestnut bone, yellow and amber bone, I know I am forgetting a handle material.

Couldn't agree more! Have they ever thought about an SBJ with CV and ebony covers??? That would be amazing...

Awww man, now ya got me thinking about that. Gotta be Gabon Ebony (deep solid black) though not Madagascar (black and brown, ie. Buck 110/112).

I will say this...Case can still make some fine looking bone covers! Im now thinking of the Chestnut CV Peanut. A new pen in CV and bone would be a bonus too!
