I just purchased this old Case in red stag and I have never seen one of these from this era before. I thought I would share a few photos of it and if anyone else has 1920 -1940 Case red stag, please post some pictures

The knife is original, why would you make a comment like that?

The shield and scales look to be in the same fine condition as the bolsters and blades to me. Wonderful condition for a knife that age. A real find. Nice knife, Mark!

Thank you Gary! I was lucky to get this knife in such great condition. The original owner sharpened it properly and used it properly.

Mark, that is a beautiful old Case! A great score on finding that one:thumbup:

Nice Case knife - the red stag certainly makes beautiful and unique scales. OH

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I will post my fifty three examples a bit later Marko. :D:D:D

The shield and tang stamps are of the same period - I think that old pocket worn red stag is an impostor handle (they did a great job re-tarnishing the brass pins though) - mail it to me and I will look at it even closer and throw it in the trash can for you! :barf::barf::barf:

:p

Wow, awesome find Mark! Red stag from the tested period (or any era for that matter) is super rare and those covers look exceptional. I've got a red stag whittler from the same period heading my way, I'll get some pics posted when it arrives. Just an amazing piece, thanks for posting Mark!!! :thumbup:

Awesome Nick! Looking forward to seeing your knife! :thumbup:

Primble, I am sending you a John Primble India Works stag! You just need a main blade to put in it! :eek:

Or just use that blade to clean the HUGE fish you catch!! :barf::barf::eek::D

What is the closed length of that ISW Mark? :confused:

I was thinking I could take that main blade out of your rare Case and make me a Case Tested ISW Primble for my first tear down project.

I am stunned that Nick says he has another red stag from that era!! :eek::eek::eek:

I would have bet heavily on your red stag being the only one posted from that era! :o:D:D

I thought you were sick - are you sure you want to go down that road again?? :eek::eek::eek::D
