Case XX 6165 Single-bladed Pocket Knife (1970-79): $95 (Album)
Nice piece - used, but not abused. The nickel-silver bolsters show some wear, but no deep scratches. The jigged pakkawood scales are in very good shape - no cracks or splits. The blade might polish up more, but I didn’t use anything stronger than Brasso on it. The action is smooth and snappy, although there’s a tiny bit of play in the blade - not much, nothing that would impact use.

The tang stamp has the line of dots just peeking above the bolster, which puts it in the 1970-79 era. No sheath, box, or paperwork. The only significant issue is that the very tip of the blade is slightly bent - check the photo.

Case XX 6265 SAB Double-bladed Pocket Knife (1965-69): $125 (Album)
Also a nice piece. There are a few scratches on the bolsters, and somebody banged up the back of the blades slightly. It’s very tight; the second blade is rock solid when open, and I have to work at it to get any play from the main blade. The scales are clean; no cracks or scratches. No sheath, box, or paperwork.

KA-BAR Double-bladed Pocket Knife (1952-1970??): $60 (Album)
I blew a solid hour trying to date this knife. Learned a lot of interesting stuff along the way, including the fact that Kabar used a LOT of different tang stamps. This one says “KA-BAR” with “OLEAN, NY” just underneath it. I think that (and the fact that it’s a folder) means it’s post-WWII, but I’d love to hear from an expert.

The bolsters are nickel-silver, and they’re in great shape. The scales are black and jigged, and they appear to be wood - no cracks or deep scratches. The liners are brass. The blades have been sharpened, but the action is tight and there’s zero play. The centering isn’t quite perfect to my eye, but it’s not bad. No sheath, box, or paperwork.

MAUSER Victorinox ~ Vintage Swiss Army Knife ~ RETIRED: $75 (Album)
This is the long-discontinued "Mauser" model (basically the GAK from the Safari Series, but with a clip-point blade), a highly-collectible edition made in Switzerland by Victorinox for the famous German company, Mauser. No box or papers.

It’s been used - in particular, the “Mauser” sticker on the scale is missing, and somebody etched “RF” into the backside of the drop-point blade. Otherwise it’s in very respectable shape.

There's a corkscrew, a reamer / awl, a combination sawblade + can opener (with the original metal safety cover over the saw teeth), and two large knife blades. The drop point blade is stamped “Victorinox Switzerland Stainless Rostfrei”, and the clip point blade is etched with the Mauser logo and these words:

NAME UNTER LIZENZ
DER MAUSER-WERKE
OBERNDORF GmbH.

All of my knives have been guests in a smoke-free, pet-free, knife-friendly house. They’re stored in clean containers in a temperature controlled environment away from corrosive elements or excessive humidity. They’re wiped clean, oiled as appropriate, and I attempt to keep the brass away from the leather. Unless otherwise noted, I haven’t sharpened them myself.
