Case xx - A can of worms

S/S,
Actually I agree with you completely. It was just the bent of Brownshoes arguement that sent me off. I apologize if I was being an Ahole in interpreting his/her intent on the subject. As it is a manufactored icon I could not agree more. El lobo, you are also correct. As only two of us decided to rant it is not worthy of the time we have wasted to deal with it. I have just had more than I can take with the current idealology of political correctness. I will endeavor to chill in the future, but it probably won't happen,LOL.

I like this guy!

I'm surprised that so many people would believe that case would never have made such an offensive knife. If you're familiar with Griffith's "birth of a nation" It is held up to be an amazing film for its time, and pioneered great techniques that we still use. It was, unfortunately, about the Klan. They must have been pretty popular at one time; remember that in the early part of this century, all manner of people were "invading" the US, bringing their filthy immigrant ways-like catholics. I'm sure that comemmerative knives of today (maybe this last Iraq war) may not be looked at fondly, always. I'd still like to see a pic, and a possible date on the knife. If it was made in the 70's, my whole diatribe is pointless.

99.99% of all the supposed "Klan" knives I have seen were built in the last ten years. There are real KKK knives out there- Bernard Levine has posted pics of some- but Case has never made one. I've never seen a Case one with any stamp older than the late 90s, where any "official" ones would be significantly older (Tested era, most likely).
