Case XX and a new scale material Dichrolam

I believe the inventor, John Blazy, has been posting about it here since he first made it. The stuff is pretty cool. He has been making it for custom knife makers and instrument makers for a bit. Glad to see it got picked up by a manufacturer!
Thanks Man!! Apparently Case thinks its worth moving forward beyond the pilot run, because I'm in the middle of an 18,500 pc order.

Fabulous news John! I expect they will fly off the shelves. You probably cannot say too much but it was good to hear something brand new is coming down the pipe.

Slowly, but surely, its being accepted - being "something new" is both good and bad, since its quite trippy as others have said, but its definitely not mistaken for anything else out there😂.

Case has released a line of knives using what they call "Rustic Red Richlite", which they say is a type of "paper composite material" used in the aerospace industry in the 1940's.... I assume this is not the new dichloram stuff.... it looks like micarta to me....

Looks like we are getting close on these new covers. Saw them today in a Coming Soon.

Very interesting looking stuff. Reminds me of labradorite or abalone, bright sheen and iridescent play of color. Would love to see how it's made, and on a small gentleman's folder I think it'd look great.
