Case XX Doctor's Knife, Brian Yellowhorse, Blue Mammoth Ivory - Unnumbered $200 or trade.
The knife is unused and comes in a small Brian Yellowhorse coffin box. The knife was made by Case about 2005 and customized by Navajo artist Brian Yellowhorse. The knife has 2 blades and measures 3 5/8 inches, folded.
The bolsters are tooled. The covers are smooth blue mammoth ivory. The left side tang on the main blade is stamped with an underscored Case logo, with 2 starts above and three below. The right side on the same blade is etched by the artist with: "Blue Mammoth Ivory Brian Yellowhorse" The right side tang on the counting blade is stamped: "USA 625285 SP-SS"
A friend just gave me a large collection of Buck, Case and Moki knives that his brother had put together before he died a few years ago. Though I may keep one or two of the knives from the collection, most are too colorful or fancy for my tastes. I plan to sell many of the knives, and definitely all of the Yellowhorse knives. I am open to trade for a single blade, drop point folding knife or knives of equal value made with yellow, beige, cream or antique smooth bone, ivory or pearl covers, preferably with no tooling. Single blade Copperlock, Copperhead or Slimline Trappers come to mind. To put things in perspective, a 3 5/8 inch Sodbuster is what I carry to the woods and has always felt the most comfortable in my hand.
I will accept PayPal. Because of the ivory content of this knife, I will not ship internationally or anywhere in to the states of California, New Jersey or New York.
