Full disclosure:
After I bought this, I let a friend try to sharpen it and he really botched it; rounded the tip and everything. Not only that, but the original blade play was awful.
I recently sent this to Case for help and it came back with a brand new profiled and polished edge, very pointy tip, and rock solid lock up. They also re-polished all non-blade metal parts.
I would now call this like new except for the following remaining issues:
1) Case was forced to remove a little bit of original metal during the re-profiling process to fix the tip.
2) The blade is a bit off-centered when closed (see 4th picture)
3) There is a bit of rubbing on one side of the blade near the handle (see 5th picture).
It's still a beautiful knife, it just has a bit of character.
