This is a Case XX 523-5 with serial number 0684 with a beautiful genuine Stag handle that is free of any cracks or chips. It is front tang stamped with the Case XX Lightning SS stamp and 1 Dot (1989) and rear tang stamped "523-5 SS". The blade is etched "Montana Centennial 1889-1989"
