I own quite a few Case knives and have only had issue with a few. Most have a great fit and finish. This past week at a show in town I traded for a Sowbelly as I've been carrying a stockman for some time and wanted to try this pattern since its similar. I have to say that this little sowbelly has got the best fit and finish of any Case knife I've owned. Not sure if it is just the sowbelly pattern or if I got a pocketworn version or what, but the lines are absolutely beautiful. Transitions are all rounded and smooth and it just has a great feeling in the hand. The blades do seem a bit deeper (from cutting edge to spine) and I like that as a nice change from the stockman I usually EDC. I've owned alot of knives and its always interesting when you fall into one like I have that you just really seem to like. Funny how the right patterns seem to find you from time to time:).

Is it one of those black bone ones with the red shield? I've been fighting off the temptation to get one for a few months now. I think you just pushed me closder to the edge.

Here's the one I'm talking about:

Close longbeach. Its dark and I'll never get a better pic, but here she is. No red shield, but it does have dark bone, the flash makes it look lighter than it actually is. I had my pick of three and out of all of them I picked this one based on how nice and smooth the scales felt.

That red shield in your pic looks awful nice, why torture youself with waiting? Consider it an early Christmas present to yourself. Only 364 days early:D:D!

I may have to try one for the sake of experiment, but they just seem a little bulky for a pocket carry EDC.

It's not too bad for EDC. It's about as big as I like to go, but I can say it's too big for me to carry comfortably in a suit. Jeans or khaki's are fine though. Even though it is a bit big it seems shorter than my stockman which makes it nice.

I also have one. Do you know what the TB stands for? I was told the sowbelly was inspired by Tony Bose.

I carry a Reese Bose saddlehorn and I can only begin to express what a great pattern that knife is. Saddlehorn's rock!

How are the egros on the sowbelly? I have not been able to find a place close to me that would have one.

Here's mine... i'd like to contribute to the look :D picked mine up in canada on a trip. silver ends... that's all i really know about it. it runs flush with the bone handle. very good quality knife.. but too afraid to actually use it.
