Case XX TB 6339 - Sowbelly

Is there a Sowbelly, CASE or otherwise that has a Pen blade instead of Spey?

The Case 5-blade TB Sowbelly includes a pen blade (and a small clip), in addition to the standard 3 (large clip, sheepsfoot, spey). No pen blade on the 3 blade Case, though.

Edit:
I'm seeing some pics on the web, of a 4-blade Schatt & Morgan sowbelly, which includes a pen blade as the 'extra'.

nice pattern! never looked much at it but as I'm liking the stockman I may check it out, looks comfy in the hand and useful

Elliott, probably I don't even need to say that :D, the one you posted looks really good, love the stag on that one, nice thing to have a pen over a spey, have to try something like that one day too, too many on the wishlist now..

I like the Sowbelly, bit on the heavy side for pocket EDC, but it sure is tough.

Sorry, I've only got a stock picture of my Sowbelly.

I don't have it back in hand, but Don Seals took the cranberry bone one I had and pulled the spey and sheepsfoot out to make a single blade out of it. I'll shoot a picture when it arrives, but in the meantime, here's his picture of it after the job:

Thanks Don!

Here's a picture of it on my famous brick pile before he got it:

My pleasure Ed.:DI Love chopping up knives!I have one just like it in my display case im having trouble laying off.It will probably end up a single blade slippie also.Really nice in the hand that way.

Greg, those Case sowbellies of yours are all outstanding. That last one looks just like the one I just had modified, but your picture is a lot better than mine. The blue/green appaloosa bone up there is really sweet too. - Ed J

Here's my single Blade Sowbelly, It's a great knife.
the sunken joint is nice for the pocket. Fits
really nice in my hand! Perfect EDC knife.

Stupid question time. Are all Case sowbellies made recently marked TB for Tony Bose design (not collaboration like the Tribal Spear etc). Or are they just your basic Case models.

Regardless, I want one!

Yes. The '39 pattern sowbelly from Case is Tony Bose designed, and the pattern numbers reflect that, with the 'TB' prefix (mine is a 'TB5339SS'). It is a 'basic' Case model, in the sense that it's produced to the same general fit/finish, with same materials as the standard Case models. And especially so, in price. Considerably less expensive than the Collaboration models.

Jason's knife up there was the inspiration for me to have the work done on mine. I hope mine shows up in the mail today.
