Case Yellow CV or Buck or Boker Stockman?

Case has always done a good job of grinding their blades thin. This makes a big difference. Boker is OK but a bit thicker.

I did a lot of testing with factory knives a while back, cutting cardboard and the newer CVs' was on top.

Thanks again, Don. Nothing like getting some comparative data from someone who knows his way around steel!

Thanks for sharing good info. I've done no formal comparison testing, but in my experience CV and Case blade geometry are superior.

Don,
The same way here, we are thirty minutes from the Gulf and nobody wants a stainless knife. They figure everybody knows to rinse your knife off! Yeah, they sell ALOT of those Case yellow Trappers around here too. I go into a tackle store here in town sometimes, and the guy that owns it said they can't keep those yellow handled Case knives. I know my brother carries a yellow handled trapper. I have to be a little bit more unique and go with the red bone......

Okay, so I ordered a Case Stockman and a Queen SodBuster

Probably gonna get a stockman from Boker anyways

Buck sucks after 1981 in anything they make unless you go custom. Boker and Case are both awesome. Case is, well a Case. Enough said. That creamy yellow knife is just dreamy. The cv holds an edge. Boker is not bad either but that yellow banana is NOT delrin or any other plastic it's Bone. It has a slightly different feel and the Boker carbon holds and edge to. Between Boker and Case it would be tough both are good knives. Just don't buy that Boker Crap that comes from china; it sucks it hard. Love, Cassie :)
