I am restoring a case pocket knife for a gentleman and I need to redo the handle. Does anyone know where I can find some of the yellow handle material that comes on the case knife? I have tried some yellow plastic but non match the case yellow plastics.

From what I've ever known or been told while collecting and restoring the Case line, the yellow is delrin, and is a Case specific color.

My dad has about 5 different small yellow handle knives he has carried over the years. To rehandle one a couple of years ago I actually cannibalized another larger knife that had broken blades but good handles. I have seen sheets of yellow delrin sold for pick making and the like but it always appeared too yellow. Of course if you notice even Case knives from different years in this color will vary slightly.

Another try maybe; yellow paper micarta? Paper micarta and delrin look fairly similar in luster and depth when polished slick. There may be a paper micarta that is a more subdued yellow...

You may have better luck over with the mod guys, may try there? At any rate good luck. Because of the proprietary color these are some of my favorite Case knives. No doubt of what they are the minute you pull one out of your pocket...

Happy hunting.
