CaseXX knives Quality . good in the 2000s?

What would you say the most popular CaseXX model would be? The Peanut?

By shear volume over the last 10 years, I would say the Trapper, Tiny Toothpick, or Med Stockman. If we narrow it to 5 years, probably the Backpocket, Swayback or Humpback.

I own 9 Case knives. 4 peanuts, 1 mini copperhead, 1 small gunstock, 1 mini trapper, 1 sway back gent and a cv sodbuster jr.
All of them are recent production. The only knife that had a problem was the sodbuster. Bad blade wobble right out of the box. I sent it back to case and they made it right. With that track record, I'd have no problem buying a newly manufactured Case.

All the Case knives I have bought from the mid 90's forward have been good quality knives...no build issues at all.

My only complaint is that thick grind on some patterns with SS blades...can never really get them as sharp as I like. Buying CV blades solved that problem.

Funny, I read the article too but didn't see it as an indictment of Case, just an honest assessment. Mike was selling Case knives before GE, and still offers quite a selection of both new and old Case knives.

I had actually read Mike's article just prior to seeing this thread and would have linked to it if he had not done so. His assessment seemed balanced to me. I've bought more Case knives than any other brand in the past few months and I have no major complaints about any of them.

I here guys complaining, the ONLY problem I've had was my 62130 has a poor dye job on the bone BUT she'll be my week-end carry.Like for most of the last 8 years.
