Caso Sodbuster jr vs GEC Bullnose vs Queen Country Cousin

My wife and I bought a Queen CC, black, D2 for a Christmas present to my nephew. Needed re-beveled and took some time on DMT stones, I only went through course and fine(blue and red). The action was very gritty, even after much Tri-Flow. A well centered blade. Seems like a decent knife for the money($33 online and free shipping), and I hope he likes it and gets years of use out of it.

The Country Cousin is my pick, but needs more work to be ready to carry, mine really needed a re beveling. but once that was done, the pointer blade and edge retention has knocked all the other sod busters out of my pocket. I ended up giving my Case to my wife for a "purse knife" and just bought a GEC and traded it away because I liked the Queen better

I understand the differences in all three but to me the best by far value is the Case Soddy Jr. that can be purchased at Lowes. The black handle basic comes very sharp out of the package and has IMO, a great point to the tip of the blade.

Looks like the linen micarta and canvas micarta bullnose are are making their way to the GEC dealers soon!. Pretty excited about this run!

I have never had the Queen but have 3 Case 2 large and 1 Jr. I like all of them very well for all around slicers. Prefer the Jr. because of size for pocket carry I use a sheath for the the large ones. One of them is headed to Glennbads now for Stag handles. Unfortunately my Farm and Field Bullnose fell out of an unsnapped sheath and now resides somewhere in the Clingmans Dome area of the Blueridge Parkway.
