How about a 301 Stockman with a BG-42 Main blade and Sheep’s Foot and a 420hc Spay blade? It is good to have one blade that can be duller than the others, for all the jobs that don’t want a shaving sharp blade. I like the apple coral that was used last year on the 532. It would look sweet on a 301. I would recommend putting any engraved legend on the Sheep’s Foot so the main blade can stay nice and clean. Nickel silver bolsters and snappy carbon steel back springs. Boy that would be a nice knife, useful too. Show Case a thing or six.

Yer right Scott...I figured we could give that 531 more time to garner some more support from sleepers out there...:)

Then let's make it nothing...eBay is cluttered enough with crap no one wants...

hot darn! real coffie....
rant on...*
'trax .... go back squat and hide in your coup and poop an egg outa your ..
ya never have to buy or bid on any thing ya dont wants...:barf:
BUT if'n ya dont wants something ya dont have to chicken squat on it..!!
gee arrre ya one o thoes that if"n it tain't yer way its de hi way?
if'n so then it's a long lonely road and ya be a walking up hill all the way...
as no one needs or cares if something has your stamp of aproval .. your one opion is that important in the whole realm of things ...
so you are kinda tilting at windmills far as most are concerned...
even if'n some is bothered for a short time ...its like a blister...
it will turn in to tougher skin and ya wont have the same effect later...
rant off*

from what i hear maybe they wont do a foolding knife for the bcci 20 year shindig...
dont know if it is cause of no consenses and cant please every one thing
or other reasons...
so ... basicly it could come down to this...
this poll was not formated correctly...
any thing complex has much less chance of happening..
another gold member like the GOOSE can post a poll on what your fav dream custom from the custom shop is if they want'ta..
humm ..i still wander what goose would say ...
no other knife sells to collectors like the 110 !!!
of all LE knives that have been sold the 110 tops the list on orders and is most likely to sell out of any production of less the 100..
a lasering of some kind is the most likely to happen and laser on the blade or inlays either way is peachy wit me ..
cut outs are not for thoes that feel that knife has to be a EDC when it comes down to a bcci 20 year memory knife but it is simple for me ...
if it is a 110 or like ... i will buy it ...
but any thing else, i will admire it ...
money is too short to buy any thing not on my gota have it list...
SO ...and most likely i will hear on this ...

if any of ya truly wants a 20 year bcci folder of some kind
my best advice is to email Buck Knives Store...!!!
could be 20 takeing that time to do so may do it- who knows i sure dont..
the phone number and email address to buck is on the web site at the top of the forum..
ya dont have to talk to any one even ...
if ya call jest leave a message on a machine for one of the following
the Buck Store [best] or Shara / Joe / Ena / Pete ... or even
the big man on Buck's mountan? - na i would not bother him...
and say you would like a folder of some kind for the bcci event..
and if a 110 would work say so ! if not say so also...
its like alice's restrant ,
ya can ask for any thing ya want
'cepting alice..:D
so i will campain still for my candate the lovely 111...
and i will not constrain your dreams as i thought to...:thumbdn:
now vote and email your choice !!!

How many of the people that frequent this forum are BCCI members? How many BCCI members are there? 1600ish? If the club officers can be influenced on their selection of a club knife, then it should be through other channels such as the newsletter/email, not a dozen people on this thread.

howdy tony,
well ... what i am behind is not a club sponsered knife...
the real pirty red fixed blade is the offical club knife of the 20 th year of the BCCI..
in the first post (before i got angry) i had the sorce of insperation down..
and i will edit again to put it back...

and it is not by bcci members...which total 1400ish most of which are not as active as the ones that buy the knives a lot...
there are only about 150 total that have rsvp that they are comeing and that includes wives and ohter guest.. not actual members!
i put the club only sales in as it was orgionaly to be sales at the store only...
it was members that would love to have one if it happened that could not attend but would want a mememto of it any way that i listed it as memembers only sales as many non members will buy them to resale because they will be limited in issue..

of bcci club sponsered knives only the 110 or 111 has ever sold out...
and that at 200 issues..

the buck store reacently held a sale and the 532's they had for almost half off did not sell out even...
yet sales of the 110 were brisk...

this idear was orgionaly brought up by a employee of Buck Knives to me ...
and not by me i jest grabed the brass ring and ran with it...;)

no it is not easy for one to have influnce with the officers of the club...
but as i said in a delited post ... i belive it is possable for one to rally a number of brothers and as a goup influince the powers that be...
BTW: did you vote?
if not do so !

I used to buy the yearly club knife and fundraiser knives, but don't buy them now unless it is a 110 (there still could be some exceptions). With 3 kids to feed and one wife to satisfy (food doesn't cut it) my knife buying has to be selective. Unfortunately, my family has already spoken for my vacation time this year, so a trip to Post Falls won't happen this year. Plus, I'm still sweating the fact that my employer just cut 500 jobs, mine included. I will still be employed, but in a different role. I did vote; a 110 of course. Give me some fancy steel with some horns to hang on to.

Hey it has to start some where, So lets start it here and try to get something happening... VOTE!!!!! You don't have to buy what they make for the club, most don't... But we should try to have them make something almost everyone likes...

So any "special" knife that Buck puts out has to be one that *you* select???

You wait until the last minute and put forth what *you* want and expect backing from everyone else here???

You want to do a commemorative knife, start a thread on a 25 Year Commemorative Buck...and let as many as want to vote on it, or let majority opinions rule...

DarrylS suggested, make a 25 Year knife = "Silver Anniversary" knife...

If all you're doing is talking a "fantasy knife", then say so...

...Yep...I'd like a 25th Silver anniversary knife. Twentieth anniversary is I think "platinum" and somehow I think a Silver Anniversary Celebration Knife sounds really nice. There'd sure be enough time to come up with a "consensus" on what it should be and how it should be made and also allow "po' folk" like me time to save up for it. Maybe that one I'd sock away in some hidden drawer for me me to look at lovingly...but a 20th anniversary would be a user for me...no doubt about it...

Dang, with gold at almost $1,000/oz currently, can you imagine what that 50th anniversary knife is gonna cost!! Really gotta start saving for that one; hope I'm here. :D

...Hey other bro "D"...I'm on a fixed income now...:eek:...That's why I figured I'd need about 5 years to save for it...It better be a great knife for a "Silver Anniversary"...LMAO...:D

So any "special" knife that Buck puts out has to be one that *you* select???
nope not at all ... it is that it is not likely to happen if it is not simple

You wait until the last minute and put forth what *you* want and expect backing from everyone else here???
well 90 days is last minit... and it was not my idear at all ... it was an employee i talked with at buck.. that it had been memtioned of doing a folding knife... i mearly asked if a lasered blade or inlay was possable and the answer from several was "yes that is doable" nothing conferming it to be done jest part of a conversation of possabilites..
t is that a 110 is more easy and avabile then any other frame and more likely to sell out..
i admit a 111 is not any more likely then is a 532 or custom steel
but i would not rule out any thing ...ya never know what will fall from the mountain..

i would like it to happen regardless of the knife chosen if it happens...
that i want some thing is not going to make it happen ...
i am jest another buck nut and cheer leader to them...
it is a multude that might get some thing going ...not me,,,
but like the buck for sale forum ... some one has to take point and push through and take heat by thoes that dont like it...
and inspire others to voice or take action also...
one is a loney number ...
and if you are the lead dog the view keeps changing and the right path is not clear at all ... it is easer to follow as there is but one decision- go or not...
cut out blades are not edc materal tho i like them in the diaplay...
but a cut out is as easy as laser engraved blade or inlays ...
and the anvil is already programed in ...
for the many to ask for some thing that is not complex and is easy to make happen it is more likely to do so...
then if there is a lot of conflict over many details !

my pushing the 111 is me pushing a dead horse and being funny at saying i am haveing no preferance ...nothing is for real with me much...my trying to keep it simple is for real... simple for buck is more likely to happen

but as i said i would buy a 110 or 111 but
i am not likely to buy any thing else... too many 110's or 111's i have the ""i wants for"" to worry on... so for me personaly if they dont do one then i have money to spend on some other 110 ...
i jest thought it would be nice to work for the folding group as there was a fixed blade already done...like i said one person can make a diffreance...

If all you're doing is talking a "fantasy knife", then say so...

a 25 year knife silver plated or sterling frame wow
what "fantasy knife" that would make..
but it is one to start talking up after the 20th is over...
much to far in the furture for me to worry about now...

i live between epsodes of chest pain and plan no farther in the future then one year or so at a time... me and my wife live like we are dieing ..
me with heart trouble and her with cancer that has already spread ...
for real ...and both of us liveing with cronic pain in the meantime..
life is to be enjoyed NOW.. it is to valueable for either of us to worry that far ahead... (( but what the heck ...you may one day bid on part of an estate sale of a medum size collection being sold by a gal in dallas..))

my wife is planing her grand cayon trip and staying on the motel on the rim to paint , which is a one year advanced reservations .. her trip only,
mine is post falls.. much more easy...

so we try to see the good things .. i was being funny and jokeing ( a good thing if you get some one to laff) at the same time of trying to keep a focus on what is possable and most likely to get IMHO ...
so on with the race...and i love a good fight also! (shall we say verbal debate over a glass!)
now what did you vote for again? :p
