My uncle handed off four 6" diameter plaque medallions that he salvaged. They are obviously cast and then finished. Would this likely be an alloy better suited for garage casting? I know that the standard yellow brass can be hazardous to melt without proper ventilation. I have probably 10 lbs of it but it's just a bit too thin for guards and bolsters once the raised part is ground gown flat.
