Cat, Chicago and LH Millie Available

I'm ambidextrous, and have been waiting for a LH Millie for the longest. Anyone care to share some info on where I can order one (PM is fine)? Thanks in advance.

knife ctr had em yesterday...

according to sal, right now it's a 400pc run but it might get re-run if interest seens hight...

...and the CF on them is not the same either.

Paul

Bummer! I absolutely love the CF on the Sage and I was pretty excited a day or so ago to get a Cat, but as you said time and reports will tell of the quality, fit and finish.

I got to handle the Chicago and Cat at the SFO right when they came out, and they were lovely and seemed to be very fine in terms of quality and such, though I didn't play with them too much as I was there for a street beat and the person visiting with me was very hungry and anxious to leave. Brand new liner locks sometimes feel a little too stiff for me, but with such small blades that wasn't an issue. They' re little, but they were quite comfortable in my hand. I'll definitely be getting a chicago next paycheck, anyways.

After all this years hoping for a lefty millie it was like: yesss  for me.
So nice, thanks Sal + Crew for finally making it happen.
I cannot wait to get it.
One question though for someone who knows, will the pocket clip be the same as on the righty millie, with the curvature following the curvature of the handle?I hope so,I think it belongs to the millie.Asking because on the proto pictures it has a straight pocketclip.

from the spyderco website:

" We topped it off with a curved metal clip position for left-hand tip-down carry. And we made it in Golden, Colorado."

so, it looks like Sal and company are treating us lefties better than most of the world does! :D

ohh,how cool!
Thanks ExMa ,somehow must have overseen that.
Now let's see if it actually has the clip plain steel/unpainted,how cool would that be :D

from the few pics i've seen, it looks like the actual production knives have a curved, black clip...

The picture is of the prototype with a straight clip. I think the question was if the actual production curved clip would be polished or coated. I haven't seen a picture of the production model anywhere. The description on one of the sites that has it reads as follows:
Clip: tip-down, black coated stainless steel

I think some of the retailers descriptions are taken from the standard right hand model.
But if it's curved/black like Ex says it would be already perfect for me.
Just thought the straight one in the proto pictures doesn't look so nice.
I'm really courios about the knife,I hope my order makes it quickly over the pond.Hopefully someone will post pictures soon.

Alex

P.S.: Ex,you're the man.Just took a look in the bay.It seems the clip screws are torx too on this one, ain't it?

Spyderco web catalog shows the production prototype with the straight polished clip, but the text description which accompanies it specifies a curved clip set up for LHTD carry. No mention of color there, but the auction photos do show it as black and curved. To me, that's a good thing, since it's easier for those who want polished to remove the paint that for those who don't to add it.

So, the Cat arrived today, pretty impressive little package for the price. Fit and finish are good, lockup tight, sized just right for a watch pocket folder. I don't have any complaints, especially for the price.

Mine arrived today; it has a black curved pocket clip. Long waited, it is as well executed as I anticipated; thank you Sal.

It just keeps getting better and better.
