Cat Litter Problems

Well the next step in building my forge is making the necessary adobe. I figured the basic 1 part clay, 1 part sand, 1/2 part ash would work with a few grass clippings thrown in. Unfortunately crushing cat litter (bentonite clay) between two rocks, while primitive, is also extremely unefficient :D

I was looking for some litter without a sealing on it, but I couldn't find any in my local walmarts, grocery shops, etc. Is there any alternative? Or unique ideas on how to grind the regular stuff better?
 
bentonite is used in drilling fluid, They mix it by the ton. Any Oil exploration near you. Check with a waterwell drilling company. It is also used as a water barrried material around construction sites.It is pretty common stuff really. The health food nuts even eat it the cleans the poisons in their guts :jerkit: If there is any construction around and they are down by run off or the water table they may be using it.
