Hey All,

I just got a bad review from a member I have never had a transaction with named "cathsy". The review indicates "knife does not match description" but I have never had a transaction with this person.

Does anyone know what the deal is? Is this person a troll?

I am extremely annoyed as I always go out of my way to make sure each and every transaction goes smoothly and have never had a negative review. When reviewing the detail in the report, the person left no detail at all.

Can someone help me figure this out? I have left a visitor message on Cathsy's wall but have no other contact from the person.

Ok, great, thanks for the help!! I am fine with a bad review if he has some support for it and am happy to work something out with the guy if he actually bought something from me, but hmmmm... I can't ever recall having a deal with him and have not seen anything inside my paypal...
 
Weird... looks like they also commented on another user's sale thread, answering someones question if it was still available. Seems like a troll to me.
 
The thread he states in which it happened, was only posted yesterday. There's no way you sent it and he received it already.

I agree with egally08.

FWIW, the knife that he/she is giving you a negative rating on is the SM-100 Ti Framelock - Alan Davis. It appears to me that you still have that particular knife in your possession, correct? If so, I'm not sure how he/she could leave negative rating on a knife that he/she did not have in his/her possession at any time. If it was a different knife, then the rating should reflect that knife or transaction instead of the Alan Davis. But the rating clearly is directed to the Alan Davis and not some other knife.

BTW, you can tell which thread/transaction someone is rating you on by simply clicking on the feedback text. It will take you right to the thread in question. ;)

It will be interesting to hear cathsy's side of this. For now, the rating doesn't make any sense to me. Best of luck working this one out.

Hope you get it deleted from your ratings, I had a guy get pissed because someone beat him to a knife I was selling and left a negative on mine too. Couldn't get it removed so I ended up just leaving him a negative back.
 
Yeah, Knife has not sold and I have it in possession. If it was a disagreement about my description then he just needs to mention the fact... but the fact of the matter is the knife matches the description to a T.

Can the admin/mods not delete itrader ratings? I was under the impression the rules state the itrader system is only to be used after a completed transaction, not to get back at someone for backing out of a deal / any other issues.
 
After causing all that grief by lying through "his" teeth banishment is too soft a penalty.

Truly a POS Troll.....
 
Ya know, I don't believe in badmouthing any member whether I agree with 'em or not. However, Cathsy is a douche.
 
I have been waiting an entire month thinking the negative feedback would be removed.


Reddevil, would you mind messaging the site owner? I have run through the reporting feature twice at least and there has been no movement.

Any help is appreciated
 
You would think the Super mods and Exchange mods would be allowed to remove these.
Seems like it would be simple(not for one person, but for the Mods). Report it - No link to correct sale = deleted feedback.
There must be more to it than I know about. Usually is :p

At least every supermod should be allowed to delete feedback.

I have only 1 negative feedback that was very UNDESERVED. I made an offer to buy some idiot's stuff a long time ago and he responded with a counteroffer that I did not agree to. So I just never replied to him, and the idiot assumed that I would accept his offer and kept on harassing me through emails until I straight out told him that I never agreed to accept his counteroffer and to stop harassing me. Then he gets all butthurt and leaves a blatant lie of a negative feedback claiming that I "AGREED" to purchase his items. This was from a long time ago but every time I think of it, it still really irks me. :mad:

"Never replied to any contacts after agreed to purchase my items."

OP, it's probably a long shot in the dark but if Spark does come across this thread and decides to delete your undeserved negative, I would really appreciate it if he did the same for me as well.
