As an engineer, I appreciate the objectivity rendered by the Catra and appreciate that you shared your work/results freely here and on your web page.
And I learned something for sure... there is more to edge angle for abrasive/slice cutting tests than I suspected. Very interesting.
More to the point, I figured a 30 degree edge angle would start out sharper for sure, but that the 30 degree would be more delicate and would not retain sharpness longer than a 40 degree angle. Your Catra results says that is not the case for abrasive/slicing tests.
