If carbon steel knives are going to start coming from China, a lot of US knife companies are going to be hurting, in my opinion.

Personally, I can't see that Chinese-made knives being produced with carbon-steel, as opposed to stainless, blades would have any impact on the relatively few US companies that still produce traditional slipjoints with carbon-steel blades. Most lovers of traditional knives will, I think, always be able to differentiate between something made by GEC, for example, and something produced by the American company this thread is about, who like many other companies, have budget-priced knives (of variable quality it seems) made in China. Be good to keep this thread on topic :)
