I think Resinguy stripped an AK or was that a Ruck. I get so confused.

I had an urban grey coating on mine. After using it the coating was pretty beat up so I stripped it. Underneath, the blade is black. I like the industrial/user look so much I just left it that way.

The black marks along the blade are from a sharpie. I had to sharpen it in sections on my Edge Pro. I washed them off a couple of days ago.

Does the paint stripper affect the handles? Or do you tape them?

I just stripped my Hell Razor and the stripper had no effect on the handles. There was not discolleration at all. The Linen Micarta did not absorb any color from the coating. I emersed the entire knife in stripper solution.
