Here are a couple of Cave Bear knives I just completed.I have never posted pictures of my knives on blade so I thought these might be the place to start.Anyway the knives are approx.8 3/4 oal with the blade being 4 1/2" in length.Blade is polished ATS-34 steel with brass guards and amber face behind guard.I stabilized both cave bear teeth with Paleo Bond so they are both very solid. The knives come mounted on the actual lower cave bear jaw shown in the photos. The jaw still has the actual teeth attached and is in very nice shape.Very hard to come by and expensive. If anyone is interested both knives and the mounted jaw are $1600.00.Really a beautiful piece. Thanks Ray:)

Lowered price to $1200.00 if anyone is interested.

By cave bear do you mean like prehistoric? I see mammoth ivory handled knives out there too. Where do you guys get these materials I'd figure mammoth and cave bear parts would be in a natural history museum somewhere????

Cave Bear are prehistoric. They went extinct approx. 100,000 yrs ago.It use to be rather easy to obtain the teeth but since they have closed the Urual Caves in Russia where they have discovered remains of the bear its really hard to find the teeth for sale. When you do find them they are selling for close to $400.00 apiece.

Wow, that's excellent. Prehistoric bear teeth. That price seems about right for such unique blades. Great job!

Thanks for the compliments!!Yes considering the time and material cost on these knives the price is very reasonable. At the Safari Club International Show last week I saw them selling for $1500.00 just for one knife and no jaw.Crazy!!
