This has happened twice now, from two different businesses. The first time, I had purchased an "upgraded" knife with an ATS34 blade. The knife had a problem with the pivot, so I sent it to the manufacturer to be fixed; when I got it back, it had a low-end steel blade.

Last week I ordered a knife with another higher-grade steel; the knife I received today had the low-end steel blade.

In both cases I sent the knife back immediately. I wonder a) how often this is deliberate rather than a mistake, and b) how often the switch goes unnoticed.

Newbies especially, take warning, and make sure you get what you pay for.

I ordered a knife from once and received the smaller size of the same knife. Mistakes happen. I suspect with your warranty return on the pivot, they just sent you another knife, rather than the same knife with a different blade, and screwed up on the knife they sent you. I could be wrong.
