Looks to good to be true. Other than price. Does anyone use one here? Worth the entry ticket price?

They are fantastic for hardened steel. I am in the process of building a buffer that uses a vfd so I can use two different wheels

I was planning on using them to sharpen/ try not to ruin things lol. I have had issues with vibration and just happened to see a video featuring the Cbn wheels. I was impressed with the heat dissipation and how concentric they were. Thought I'd try to tap into the hive mind here.

Like Natlek, my initial thought was “what do you intend to use them for?”

The idea is using them for whatever you would use a bench grinder for, except they have a longer life and run cooler (from what I gather).

As a knife maker, I wouldn’t need one for anything, including sharpening, but CBN wheels are often used to establish bevels on and sharpen chisels, plane blades, drill bits, etc.

Others, however, may contradict my opinion in support of something I have totally overlooked.

Just depends on what you intend to do with them, and if the expense is justified in that endeavor.

A maker I really respect uses them after heat treat on his hollows to do a machine finish to 2000 grit and the steel looks like liquid. Closest I've see to a rockstead finish and zero hand sanding.

Who is this of whom you speak? Would like to see an exzample

I have one that I plan to use to put a serrated edge on one area of the blade. It came with no instructions so I haven't tried it yet. Can anyone give me some clues on how to use it? Any help would be appreciated.
