Has anyone here tried to use a CBN wheel on their surface grinder?
When I use a CBN wheel to sharpen Woodturning tools, the tool develops very little heat. I can't tell you why this is, but I no longer ever overheat an edge.
So, I was wondering whether or not they would be a healthy alternative to a stone or belt on a surface grinder?

I use CBN in my machining center because I want to minimize grit in there. They're intended to be used on hard steel and can load up on soft steel. CBN would not be my first choice to remove a lot of material in soft steel.

I run it under high volume flood coolant at 6,000 SFM
