Well,
It arrived today, and I had a few opportunities to put 'er through some paces.

Love the neck rig, by the way, who made it? Eric?
No way it'll fall out, ever.

First impressions of the knife...

Cut about 1/2 kg of shavings from a dead spruce to start a bonfire. This blade is made for this purpose, I think. I have rarely seen this level of perfomance for this task.
The handle/pocket clip, however is not very comfortable for extended heavy use, and a few times my cold hand almost made it to the cutting edge. In the knife's defence, it is a pocket knife for general use, and this is as much as you would ever need to cut to get a fire going, and probably alot more than it would get used for 99% of the time. Plus, I might try to switch the pocket clip around for tip up carry, and maybe improve the comfort under pressure. If I had my own, I would get the neck sheath, and lose the clip altogether. Bearing down on the knife is where it got uncomfortable.
Opening envelopes and boxes were a breeze. Man, this flat, thin, VG-10 can slice!!!

I will post more when I get in a little more use...

I have had it for a few days now, and find it to be a great little knife. This thing cuts like gangbusters!! I still don't like the way the clip feels in the hand, but it isn't that big a deal.

Today, I cut a pile of carpet today and could not believe how well it performed. I didn't touch the edge, and prepared dinner with aplomb. It isn't long enough to be the perfect kitchen knife, but works as well as could be expected for a knife this size. That wide flat blade is really outstanding.
The neck rig is the first one I've tried on a folder. It is very tight, and I have to give quite a tug to get it out, but I prefer this to losing a $230 CDN knife!! (wish I had one for my old LCC
:( ).

I will continue to test the knife and send it out to the next lucky guy Friday

Man oh man, I can't wait 'til this thing arrives! And now I am hotly anticipating Normark's deadly neck rig for it too!

It is probably at or on it's way to Kisu.

I'd like to remind people the agreement was to try it for 3 days, I know that's not long, but otherwise it takes a long time and people forget they have it.

Here was the list:

Normark
Jim Craig
Kisu
Keith Montgomery
numberthree
VampyreWolf
wyrm
John Clarke
bansidthe

Email sent to Jim and Kisu.

Oops!

I didn't realize it was only for three days. I thought it was for a week? Sorry guys. Guess I should have read the stuff that was sent, but I was too excited

It was sent out on Monday the 4th, by Xpresspost, tracking number 75 366 078 264.

Dave H - Thanks for the opportunity to try out this knife!

Regards

As of today (the 10th) havn't recieved it. From the sounds of things this will be a pleasure. Thanks again Dave

Eric...

The next person, Kisu, just got it from the PO yesterday or so. I guess the was a problem with the address that kept it from getting delivered.

I checked the tracking number supplied by Jim and it looks like the knife was delivered to Kisu last Friday, the 15th.

Hey guys,

I am astonished at the poor service from Canada Post on this one. It was sent Xpresspost on the 4th of November, and didn't arrive until the 15th?!? That is terrible service, even for up here. Wish there was an alternative. Are couriers a better route to go in southern Canada?

BTW, the finsh on the handle was not affected by the sheath, which was excellent.

Regards,

It actually arrived on the 12th, but somehow went to the wrong address. It then had to be forwarded. Eight days is still not acceptable for Express Post. Usually it won't take that long. I don't know what happened in this instance.
