Well it was great to talk with a few of the CDN forumites today at the St. Thomas knife show. A relatively cozy affair but some nice knives on display. I had the great pleasure of talking a great deal with Chris Lindey and Jimi Wade today and then couldn't quite prevent myself from purchasing one of those neckers that Jimi posted a couple of weeks ago.
Chris - thanks for letting me handle some of your folders. Those two Emerson models were really solid. I have to say though that the full size manix just felt right to me. Chris had a bunch of excellent leather available with his custom etching on them. The spyderco webbing on the black leather folder sheath was very cool.
Jimi Wade's neo-primitive collection was also really awesome to look at and hold onto. Let me just say guys that his earlier pictures didn't do these pieces justice. I'll hold off on posting some of my pictures of his work because I think he want's to post them on his own. We had a great time talking though.
I do, of course get to brag about that little necker I bought from Jimi today though. Its not often that I get to scoop you boys seeing things at a show so I'll just try to rub it in as much as I can
Anyhow, this thing feels great and the On-Scene Tactical Sheath it comes with is perfect!
