Cedar Buck 110

Ya know, I might try one of those thumb studs myself. if I thought I could pull it off so cleanly. Maybe on an opinel first. I hate to mess up my 110.
 
Definitely practice on a cheaply first. That's why I have a Frost fixed blade with a hole in it. You have to make a little indent first for the carbide bit to set in. I use the little dremel bit with the ball end and diamond grit. If you don't the carbide bit will skate around and scratch up the blade.
 
I'm redoing a 25th anniversary 110 right now and when I get to the final steps, I'll post some pictures of installing a thumbstud.
