Groan! I think I'm gonna be ill! (-: I have two tarwars and would gladly part with at least one of them to have snagged this one. What a beauty. It is also unusually heavy. The older tarwars averaged around 39-40 oz., and Kumars newer ones were about 34 oz. This is 3/4 of a pound heavier than those from last year. Would not want to get in the way of someone swinging this beast.

One actually needs a Tarwar. They are a multi-use tool; woodcutter, brushclearer, cleaver-of-Zs.

So if you're gonna have one, it should be a pretty one, goes my thinking. My neem one's got a satin finish from use and a hamon-line test with lemon juice that, well, could have gone better.

Like the Simpsons Moe Sislak said about the offshore monkey dagger-fight, "Oh, he'll live. But he ain't gonna be pretty no more."

At least the handle's good. There must be 20 coats of Tru-Oil on it. Like glass, that one.

But this antler one. Spectacular. Hats off to Eric. The golok was nice, but, again, you actually need a Tarwar.

actually i asked yangdu about a specific piece. prospects are promising but i'm still waiting.
