I suppose that would be par for the course, given that he's a rabid gun banner. Hypocrisy in action is no stranger to Hollywood.

I read where Stallone cleaned out Hartsfield's table at a show in the 1980s, and I'm sure he owns guns. His hypocrisy knows no bounds. And even if he doesn't own firearms, I'm sure he has them Hired On.

I used to have a picture from the old days at knifeforums.com when Earl Stewart owned it, of Tyler with his "Aeroswitch." And Perry had another folder that was made by the same Maker, the name of the Maker escapes me at the moment. Tyler also cleaned out the Titanium LaGriffes a couple years ago at a Show Ernie Emerson was at. I heard he gave them to his Bodyguards as gifts.

I always wondered who made the Switchblade Seagal used in, "On Deadly Ground." Only on screen for a few seconds to cut a fuel or hydraulic line, Mr. Mayhem.

Knives & Stuff

Don't forget Uncle Ted, Ted Nugent is an avid shooter, and outdoorsman. I do not know what knives he has, but I'm sure he has a companion for his Glock. RKBA!

If you ever watch the VH1 Behind the Music about Nugent, look at his daughter's room when they interview her. Lots of blade on display.

Singer and harmonica wizard John Popper of the band Blues Traveller is nuts about swords.

I saw that program. You know what's funny (and Nuge pointed this out himself): Nearly all of the "Behind the Music" programs involve rock stars who have done drugs, drunk themselves silly, been implicated in crimes etc. Nugent, on the other hand, abhors drugs, I believe drinks very little or not at all, is a deputy sheriff, etc and yet his program gets a warning before on the basis that he's a hunter and pro-gun. What are we coming to?

Popper made an a$$ of himself recently on Howard Stern- messing w/ a Vaquero if memory serves.

Raptor beat me to it, but Randy Travis has one of the biggest Case collections around. I remember seeing a picture of his collection, and I don't know how many were there but it filled up a room.

I had to come out of lurk mode to post this. :-) Here's one of my all time favorite quotations:
"Wanna see a gun and knife show? I'll open my coat!"

Recently, I was provided a great deal of information on Goths. (Too bloody old to be up on such things.) Repeatedly, it was stated that a large percentage of Goths tend to like knives. I was provided the names of a startlingly large number of Goth bands. Nothing specific was said though, about any of them being collectors.

Guess I hope that a fair # of the country singers are genuinely country enough that they recognize knives as tools. Of course, probably most are drugstore cowboys. Sure wish there was a lot more publicity like the story on David Crosby. I think that could do the world of knives more good in less time than anything AKTI will ever provide.

In response to Don Rearic's post wondering what kind of auto Seagal used in "On Deadly Ground", I have that movie on tape, so last night I took a look at it to see what I could see on freeze frame. Sure looked like a Benchmade AFO to me, but with a different blade. Could it be one of those Al Mar AFO's like I saw on this forum last week? That's my guess at least....

Eric,
I'm sure Bruce has been a knife knut longer than that. I remember seeing him around even earlier. Nice fella. Great guitarist.
Somewhere out there the stars' personal shoppers and bodyguards are reading this stuff and laughing...

I long to know if Elvis was a knife collector, has someone in this regard any information?

how bout morgan freeman?
he had a stilletto in 'seven' and what looked like something from pro-tec (my initial impression) in 'hard rain'.

anyone know if he's a collector?

I saw into the Nuge's office window at his bowhunting store in Jackson, MI once years ago. Had a row of knives, ranked from folder sized to shortsword, mostly custom on the wall behind his desk. WOW!

Powderburn, where ya from? I'm from Jackson myself, but am in Monterey, CA until the end of the year...
