This older man that works at my uncles shop is always entertaining us with his great stories and recently ordered a cell phone scrambler of some sort, it kind of looks like a car alarm remote. People yapping on their cell phones is one of his pet peeves, so he takes his little keychain thinger that he conveniently hangs on the wall among the other tools, and when he presses it everybody in the shop is suddenly "through a tunnel." It's pretty funny, especially when one officer noted he was wondering why there werent any calls all morning.
Well I did a little research and these things are hard to come by, if anybody has any info on this please let me know. He said he ordered his from the netherlands or something and it was marked on the box stating what it was, and was even opened and inspected by US customs. I'm not saying its legal, i'm sure it isn't legal to use...
edit: i've now found some leads but they're all insanely expensive and a bit overkill (400 foot ranges, etc. ) tommorrow i'm going to look into "RF jammers" and see what happens.
