A celtic style dagger I made a while back. I've always had an interest in ancient weapons from history and myth. I saw a dagger similar to this once and felt like it would be interesting to try and recreate it. I forged it from 1095 steel and gave it a figured mahogany handle and sheath. Sketching some Celtic knots and runs onto the outside I then used a burning tool to make the markings permanent. The runes are translated from English to Norse then into the Nordic runes to be as authentic as can be. The runes on the handle translate to "Honor" and the sheath "Wisdom". Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Blade: 1095 Double Edged (Know your state laws, do not purchase if double edged knives are not legal in your state)
Blade Length: 4 3/8"
Blade Thickness: 1/8"
Handle Length: 4 3/4"
Sheath Length: 5"
Overall length: 9 3/4"
Wood: Figured Mahogany

Asking: SOLD

Thanks for all the praise! ^^ And @Lycosa, a Japanese knife with a Celtic handle? Very cross culture... I could probably do it. Gives me some good ideas for kwaiken too and I needed something to make today.

Thanks Doc, I'll get it into the mail tomorrow and happy to meet a neighbor ONeill

And Lycosa I dont suppose you can find a pic of something similar? I've seen all kinds of japanese blades with different styles of handles and scabbards. Though this is certainly doable if its what you mean. http://media.liveauctiongroup.net/i/9640/10487171_1.jpg?v=8CDC838386F9AF0 (think I'll put something like this on my to do list regardless)
