I finally started to work on my first knife. Now I want to drill the holes for the brass pins and am not sure as to which way I should find the center line. I think there is a special tool to do this that scribes a line but well I don’t have one. Can some one please help me? Thanks

Are you talking about the pins for the handle scales? You can just use a ruler if you want them centered.

what size of brass pins should I use I dont want the tiny pins but not to big. when you guys make a knife what size do you usually use.

You can arrange the pins in any pattern you like, so long as it's pleasing to the eye.

Yeah, it doesn't usually have to be centered. Just what looks good to you. Unless you're doing a coffin or straight handle that is symetrical like on some bowies then it should go down the center otherwise it will look like you screwed up.
