Need a little help.

Got a guy I work with who is into reenacting. He is trying to make himself a center seam sheath to go with the time period he is into right now.

He is an older guy and the intricacies of the inter-webs are lost on him. Well after trying some searches myself I have learned my Google-foo is also very weak. Anybody got any good online resources?

Thanks!

I opened google search and typed in the following

center seam knife sheath

and the first link of the results is a tutorial on how to make one.

Try to see if you have any Mountain man rondevous around someone there should be able to help you on a traditional center seem. Most are fun to talk to also. Or they could point you to some one who does know.

See if the local library has a copy of "The Complete Bladesmith" by Jim Hrisoulas. It covers making center seam sheaths. If it is not available at the library it is still available through book stores.

By "center seam" do we mean the traditional Scandinavian style sheath with the seam running up the back?
