Centofante C50 GP for Defense?

Greetings,

I recently came across the C50 GP (Serial Numbered at John Jensen's website)for $92.00. I have never handled this particular knife, so would appreciate your help.

Is this knife suitable for EDC or self defense? Has anyone here used the same in that capacity? Have you ordered from John Jensen's website?

Thanks,

Smash

I have the fully serrated version and, while I wouldn't consider this design to be "a heavy Duty MBC", it carries extremely well and makes a great EDC. If that's all that I had for a social encounter (self defense) I wouldn't feel unprepared. I love mine and yes, I have ordered from John Jensen with good results.

I don't consider it for self defense, it does not have any type of finger guards. I do have a C50, PE, but I carry other knives I would consider first for self defense.

No problem. If it was the only knife I carried, I would make it work. Just have to keep in mind its limitations. Like any other knife out there, some are good for this, some good for that. :) The C50 is still a great knife.

In fact I could not resist today, I just purchased one serial numbered with serrated edge from John Jensen. For whatever reason, that knife just appeals to me.

Smash I promise you won't be dissapointed in this model, I recieved mine this week and it's damn hard to put down.
Btw IMO it would work great for S/D also, the size and shape alone would be a deterent:cool: Ron
