It should be commercially available. Don't know if anyone will have it or not. It's been a few years since I've been.
We do have a hunting season on them and they are often processed and the hides sold, not to mention the gator farms as well.
We have a gun & knife show every other month here but its really a gun show with a couple venders selling knives off of 5-6 tables. The other 40 tables are gun related.
It is a nice show. I was there last year and had a great time. It has a good eclectic mix of makers, collectors and dealers, but the scale and location lends itself to a relaxed and interesting environment.
It's been years since I was there..But what made it stand out was how many Custom maker's set up and displayed and sold. The Randall collectors club had a big presence too..
I went down this morning anticipating I'd only be a couple hours. Got there at 9 when it opened so I could get back and tend to things this afternoon. Well didn't leave until 2 pm, 5 hrs.
Picked up some impala jigged buffalo horn and some mammoth tooth.
Saw a couple unusual ones, a 619 with the saw teeth on the spine and serrations on the clip point, also what looked like a Buckmaster in with a skeletonized handle, rubber dipped, in the Buckmaster sheath. Gene was there and another BCCI member from Chicago (sorry I'm bad with names) They both had the most Bucks, but there were others with bucks as well. Almost bought a couple, but refrained.
Lot of makers there with some nice knives.
Sent Makeal a pic of the gator hide that was there.
