Central Utah campout May 1st and 2nd

The campout in Central Utah is about 2 weeks away. Wanted to remind you all that were interested in going. It's been snowing a lot lately but we are still a go. If Spring City Campground is closed, there are still plenty of places in the area to camp that will be open (lower elevation).

The Campout is May 1st and 2nd in Central Utah at the Spring City Campground out side of Spring City (84604 - so you can find it on a map). It has 6 campsites including a huge group site that we will be using. A bunch of my family and friends from church will be joining us.

Friday's activities will include setting up camp, Cooking Dutch oven food, hiking, Wilderness survival skills practice, eating, chatting and so on. Saturday we will have a breakfast, more activities then before everyone goes home we will head to the Spring City Shooting range for a little target practice.

It's going to be awesome!! We'd love to have everyone come that can. Thanks and hope to see you there.

That's awful Ryan. I do hope something comes your way soon. Are you local to Utah? Can you share what line of work you are looking for? More folks you include in your network, the better to find something...

Good luck with finding a new job. I'll keep you in my prayers and I'll have something yummy for you around the fire.

The trip is 2 weeks from today. Lets hope the weather gets nice so we can find some place to camp.

i live in phx and am in the safety business for large construction projects. i typically work for the general contractor to oversee many projects. since construction is being hamstrung and is projected to be so for sometime i may need to explore other paths.

We are getting closer and closer to the campout. One of my mom's neighbors went up to the Campsite and it was still snowed in. So we won't be going to the Spring City campground. We will be camping in Maple canyon or one of the other places I know. ;)

Sounds as though no one from the Cantina can make it this which is okay, we will miss you.

Regrettably, I won't be able to take time off until later in May, but I'll try to have a dutch oven going over briquettes in the back yard on the appointed day in a show of Dutch Oven Solidarity (tm). :)
