Cerakote and makers mark??

Hi all! I currently use the battery charger/nail polish method for my mark on a blade, but I have a customer who wants Cerakote, how do I go about putting my mark on it?

My guess is that you'd need to cut into the steel before the blade is coated to the point that it couldn't be sanded off.

Or if you're looking to do it once the blade is already coated, you could try a dremel with a fine-point diamond or carbide bit. It would take some patience

That, or a laser engraver. There are plenty of services that would do that for you

a mark may show through the cerakote but you really need to etch the mark. the deeper it is the better it will show. how complex its your mark?

Mark is fairly simple, I think I'll try a deep etch and hope for the best.

yeah if you can get a decent etch then it will be really clear through the cerakote.
