Ceramic Blade - Maintenance/Care?

Not all of my ceramic knives are Kyocera. I am also a do it yourself nut.

I live just a 10 minute ride away from a Kyocera factory. Unfortunately it's not one of their knife works. (Kyocera makes dozens of different products from ceramics up to and including heat shielding for space shuttles!) But the factory folks take my knife and send it to one of their knifes plant for free, and mail it back to me in a few days. I sharpened it once myself, and it really wasn't difficult using .5mic diamond compound, but it takes too long to bother with. Fun toy in the kitchen, but I still prefer steel. On the other hand, Kyocera is now coating fry pans with their ceramic, and I think the days of Teflon pans are numbered...
