Ceramic glass liner...

Is near impossible to grind down. I ordered this from Tracy's website and I need to take about 1.25" off of it so it fits on my platen. My options are kind of limited to what I have to work with I have a Craftsman 2x42 grinder with a sanding disc, and an angle grinder. I've gone through 2 40 grit discs so far and took off about 1/8" if that. If I knew of a safe and stable way to clamp it I'm half tempted to take the angle grinder to it.

A glass cutter is cheap and available at most hardware stores.

I was thinking about a glass cutter however I originally called a glass place by me looking for a piece of tempered glass to use before I ordered this. I was told tempered can't be cut it has to be made to the specific size. So not sure if it can be cut with a standard glass cutter.

Tile saw seems interesting, my brother has a fairly nice one I can use. I really don't want to shatter this thing and have to try again.

A masonry cutoff wheel for your angle grinder should do it.

I cut my own platen liners from a 4x6inch piece of borosilicate glass with a glass cutter.

I've cut mine with a ceramic cutter on my angle grinder... Use a full face mask, it will create glass dust madly...
