well no luck in the woods, saw a bunch of turkeys, ducks but no deer.

Spear hunting is legal in Alabama. I actually know one guy that has harvested a deer with a spear. He's a very very very good hunter though. Normally one of the top 10 in the Buckmaster competition every year and a top ASA/IBO archer.
 
Nice clean construction.
Like the blade profile, especially the apexed clip.
Looks like it will really take care of business.
